We have been extremely busy the past two weeks that we haven't had a chance to update! First, Stephen sprained his ankle playing softball .. well kind of. He stepped into a hole coming out of the dugout! :/ So, Oliver and I have been taking care of Daddy. The silver lining was Daddy staying home with us on Friday night so we went to BWW with Gabe and Chelsea (where you flirted with the waitress -- you were "faking" sleep and she said you were cute so you looked at her and smiled! -- what a flirt!), saw Granny and Papa, and played Yahtzee!
Oliver also celebrated his first holiday .. the Fourth of July!!! We spent the day with the entire family where you were spoiled by everyone! You are so stinkin' cute that everyone wants to hold you. Since Tennessee has been experiencing a crazy heat wave with no rain, there were no fireworks! However, we went the next night to Nashville Shores to watch them, but you were not interested. You slept right through them (we were far enough away where the boom wasn't too bad). You love to pretend to be asleep -- you peek at us and then when we look at you, you shut your eyes real quick! :) I love that you are beginning to play with us! We love you very much!
The next big moment was your 1 MONTH BIRTHDAY! How has it already been an entire month since you were born? It went by way too fast. We wanted to take you to the zoo, but it stormed and was too hot! Instead, we went shopping and spent some family time together. I am not ready for you to get any bigger!
Today, Daddy went back to work and you must not have been very happy because you would not go to sleep for longer than two hours! It was a fussy day! As soon as Daddy came home, you went straight to sleep in his arms! :) You love your Daddy and he loves you!
Lately, you have been eating more and more! You are becoming one chunky monkey! You outgrew your preemie outfits and now can fit into most of your newborn!!! At the doctor visit last week, you weighed 6 lbs 11 oz and were 19.25 inches long! You are growing! You also have started really, really hard at holding your head up so you can look around the room and trying to hold the bottle or bib! You have even pulled the bib down after Daddy put it under your chin. You LOVE the ceiling fan .. you can find it in every room and will stare at it. You have also become such a night owl.. at midnight and 3 am you are usually wide awake and ready to play. You are not a fan of the pacifier .. you will keep it for a little and then push it out. When we try to put it back it, you either pucker up your lips or stick out your tongue! You are such a silly boy!
